Pickleball emerged as one of the fastest-growing sports of the 2020s, inspiring LUDI to create well-made, quality paddles built for performance, style, and fun. Their mission: To spread the joy of Pickleball and build up its community, whether for serious professionals or weekend enthusiasts. Building on LUDI's vision of making the sport accessible and delightful, we developed a brand identity that celebrates fun, lifestyle, and well-being—one that embodies holistic wellness and reflects the inclusive experience LUDI aims to bring to all players.
We knew that for LUDI, both on and off the court, connections made were the ultimate long game and where progress is sweeter than what’s on the scoreboard. With that, we took the lead by reimagining the court markings as visual metaphors for connections made in LUDI’s diverse community, their structured symmetry mirroring teamwork, balance and unity, alongside interplays of linework which showcased LUDI’s branding and the intricate relationships forged through the teamwork and play.
The brand’s key elements thus comprised of balanced geometric shapes interplayed with line-work carefully overlaid in an array of dynamic motifs. Ultimately, these disparate elements come together to present LUDI and its paddles as fun, bold, grounded and visually delightful, so that players can look good and feel good paddling it up on the court. A series of energetic and grounded colours were carefully selected to showcase its personality as a fun, anchored and sporty brand, dedicated to wellness and wellbeing.


Different Strokes for Different Folks
Tasked to come up with differing patterns for their Beginner/Intermediate and Pro Paddles, we utilised more colourful designs on the former paddles to provide a more fun and accessible look for starting enthusiasts and aspiring hobbyists. On the flip side, Pro Paddles were treated to a monochromatic look. These various designs were also translated to LUDI’s various other offerings and collaterals, such as branding merchandise, product packaging, website andsuggested social touch points.
