SG Magazine: What makes a clan? Not so much ah bengs and parangs, as Channel 8 dramas will have you believe; but more kinship, unity and unshakeable ties. Coming your way this March is a new creative festival aspiring to shed light on this lesser-known history of Singapore clans, and celebrate the importance of affinity amongst community.
INDESIGNLIVE: Highlights of the festival will include open houses of four of the road’s historic clan houses: the Gan Clan, Koh Clan, Ching Kang Huay Juan and Tung On Wui Kun. Each clan house will host an interactive design installation and presentation from handpicked local artists and designers.
